Guilherme Paulus Is A Brazilian Entrepreneur Who Is Socially Responsible


Guilherme Paulus is an entrepreneur and businessman who was born in São Paulo. He has been a part of the aviation industry in Brazil and acquired Webjet in 2006. He took the airline from its humble beginnings from only having one aircraft and turned it into the country’s 3rd largest airline that now has flights out of over 20 cities in Brazil. The airline eventually operated with 20 different aircraft and was sold to Gol in 2011.

Guilherme Paulus also founded the GJP Hotels & Resorts network in 2005, which began as a smaller network. Today, it is one of the largest hotel chains in the nation and focuses its efforts on events and the leisure tourism industry. With a spread of hotels existing all over the country of Brazil, he continues to work to grow the business. Guilherme Paulus is also the founder of CVC, which he put together with his business partner Carlos Cerchiari. In 2009, Guilherme Paulus decided to sale a piece of the company to the Carlyle Group, which could help to lift it up by providing more capital to grow it even larger. CVC eventually opened itself up to be on the stock exchange and now earns close to $5.2 billion every year. There are plans in the works to grow the company even further by opening 100 new stores on a yearly basis. The company already has existing locations inside of hundreds of malls in Brazil as well as in 140 commercial galleries and hypermarkets.

Guilherme Paulus is an entrepreneur who has always been socially responsible, and his company CVC supports the PIET project. The project works to help the younger generation to understand how to be less vulnerable in social situations and how to act responsibly in the tourist industry. Paulus also supports the National Project of Professional Initiation in Tourism “Alfasol – Solidarity Literacy,” and he works to help people in his country to become better entrepreneurs so they can support themselves.
