Does it get better.

Currently in year 12 and just started my a levels. I am doing History,Maths and Chemistry.While I’ve been doing well in both maths and history I feel like I’m not doing as well in chemistry (OCR A)getting around 60% in both end of topic tests which isn’t bad but I’m aiming for top grades and feel a bit disheartened.O have been doing revision but not hardcore so I was wondering if anyone else has been in the same position and if it gets any better?
