What explains the disproportionate amount of attention for WWII?
I watch National Geographic sometimes. They have a ton of cool WWII documentaries, but there's next to nothing on other conflicts. It's not much different on local channels.
There are tons of footage out there of more recent conflicts, yet we don't get to see much of that. Why is this the case? I find WWII interesting, but I feel like I could narrate it pretty much battle by battle at this point while my knowledge of other conflicts is far more superficial.
