We are closed!
Why do people wait until the last minute to pick up meds and show up as we are closing? Had a woman pull into the drive-thru lane AT 6:00pm as I was finishing up a driver who showed up at 5:58pm. I quickly rolled the window down and locked the drawer, the pharmacist shut the lights off and the STL was waiting to pull the cash drawer. The woman still tried to call and I could hear the automated system tell her someone would be right with her instead of saying we were closed. I thought I’d be nice and I picked up the phone and told her we were closed and would be open at 8:00 am, she kept talking and I repeated we were closed and hung up the phone. The pharmacist and I tried to rush out to our cars but sure enough she got to me before I could get to my car. She started in by saying, “it was the last day to get her meds”. Me - “sorry we are closed, pharmacist is gone, there is nothing I can do to help you.” Her - “but I pulled up when you were still there and hung on me. You were so rude!” Me - “sorry but we were closed” Her - she repeated it was last day, and then asked “what am I supposed to do?” Me - “try coming earlier next time, closed means closed.” Her - “who do I call to get my meds?”(🤣🤣🤣) Me - “you call the store at 8:00 am tomorrow”🤷🏼♀️
PS during this I kept walking to my car and she pulled behind my car blocking me in. I Started pondering my options and decided my Camry was no match for her full size pick-up especially backing up from a full stop🤪
