Coffee Recommendations

Good Morning:

May I please ask for some advice? A relative of mine has been in a bit of a slump due to the quality of their favourite coffee declining, and I'm looking for an appropriate alternative in Calgary.

Their favourite is, or at least used to be, ground Sumatra from Starbucks, a Dark, Earthy, smoky sort of roast, which are my relative's preferences for coffee. However the quality of that brand of coffee, at least in their eyes, has declined a fair bit over the last few years, and with events going on down south they are avoiding American sources. Basically, I'm trying to find a new blend for them to give them a bit of a boost.

Does anyone know a comparable alternative? They don't like Fratello, and they think Kicking Horse is "tolerable". Generally they like very strong coffee, but not expressos as much. Does anyone know where in Calgary I could get ground coffee that meets the description I listed above?

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: forgot to mention, they usually get it cone ground.
