Crumbl Minimum Wage in Calfornia

Hello everyone! I recently started at Crumbl in my little town in California. However, when I received my 8850 form, it stated that the hourly pay is $16. I'm curious if this is normal... since California minimum wage is $16.50? I texted my manager about this and she confirmed that $16/hr would be my pay. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you!!
