Barbarian Confusion

Something weird is going on with Barbarian, or maybe a recent update changed some hidden mechanic. This time around I am attacking the exact same tier and sub tier barbarian (ie level 4, 158m power) using greater buffs and more troops than I did last time around and I’m taking more wounded.

Any thoughts.
