Doharaes!
Do you KNOW how insane it would've been for Rhaenyra to tame Vermithor in public like that?
If she were in King's Landing or some place where she could perform the Sewing in a more open area, and i think without the audience, in general, if the realm were to hear that Rhaenyra, who wears the Conciliator's Crown was able to calm and prepare THE Bronze Fury himself, the Conciliator's Dragon for a new dragon rider the shear amount of religious-like fervor that would swell around Rhaenyra's cause in every corner of the realm?
There are those who support Rhaenyra because she is their ticket to unchecked influence over the realm like the Velaryons, and those who support her simply because the beloved Viserys deemed it to be so, and others who will not betray their oaths, but how many knights and lords would fall upon their swords on a whim to know that the Queen they champion was able to bond with the dragon of arguably the greatest king seen in Westeros at that time outside of Aegon I?
I think it's impossible to underestimate the importance of propaganda value alone in Rhaenyra securing riders for the previously unclaimed Vermithor and Silverwing.
