What game to play/Is it worth it?

Watched some youtube videos on GW2 and it looked fun but I know the game has a low playerbase. Is it worth a purchase nowadays? Or should I go for Battle for Neighbourville, does that one have a larger amount of players? Curious what the common consensus is and people's opinions on this game/it's playerbase. I'm from US east if that matters for player counts, but I'm fine playing on any server really.
