I cant seem to catch a single squid during festival

So during squidfest im having a neutral day right but I for the life of me or rng cant seem to get by a SINGLE squid, like at all. Ive eaten the sea jelly to +1 fishing and there was even a bubble spot but no squid at all. Im sadly the type of person that needs to win all the rewards in the game so I keep restarting the day. Can I still catch and collect squid past 2pm or do I need to do everything by then?
