Egg Prices Hitting $11: The Price of Bad Policies

Egg prices have shot up to around $11 where I am, and I’m sure it’s even worse in other states. We're all feeling it now—the pain is getting worse by the day. It’s becoming almost a luxury just to eat. People are having to choose between food, rent, car payments, high insurance rates, or rising rent and mortgage payments. This isn’t just about the avian flu; inflation, supply chain issues, and prioritizing corporate profits over people’s needs are making it harder for everyday people.

UEM is fighting against these policies, and we’re not backing down. It’s time we stand up for our right to live without constantly choosing between basic needs.

Anyone else dealing with this in their area? How are you managing the rising costs, and what changes would you like to see? It’s clear something needs to shift.
