Homemade wet food fot cats

Tbh in the cat side of Tiktok? I see so many people are struggling with the high price of wet food. In my country, we usually make food for cats ourselves.

My family cat had lived perfectly healthy to 17 years old. My cat is 1 year old, and luckily he’s healthy too.

So here is my homemade cat food. It’s pretty easy to make

• Ingredient: 80% meat and 20% vegetable

  • Meat: Chicken (I usually you chicken breast), beef, fish (tuna, salmon, etc), pork,…
  • Vegetable: carrot, pumpkin, brocolli,… etc
  • Organ: chicken liver, chicken heart, …etc (just about 5%)

You can mix-and-match your cat’s preferred meat and vegetable.

• Prep

  • If you use liver, leave the liver in a water mix with 1/2 spoon of salt for 30 minutes. Then wash it throughly.

  • Peel, chop, wash (again and again) all the ingredient.

• Cooking

  • If you use liver, boil it in a seperate pot. Throw away the liver broth.

  • Boil all your ingredient until it’s cooked through. Keep the broth.

  • Time to bring out your blender. Blend all the ingredient together (save 1/2 of the chicken), remember to pour the broth into the mix. Blend blend blend until you reach the consistency your cat like.

  • Shred the leftover chicken into small piece and mix it with the pate.

(My cat like his food smooth 😂).

• Store Store the cat food in small container. You can put 1 container in your fridge and the rest in the freezer.

I usually make 2 weeks worth of food. Then I make a new batch with different ingredients (any fresh meat I find in the market that day - shrimp, chicken, duck, etc). I also add fish oil and some crunchy topping in his meal too.
