6 month Update: Father diagnosed with T3N1M0
This is an update to my previous post regarding my father’s recto-sigmoid cancer diagnosis. 6 cycles of Folfirinox are now complete and the latest CT scan has the following findings:
“Significant interval regression in recto sigmoid junction mass and interval regression in mesorectal extension. However mild thickening is noted at the rectosigmoid junction likely representing residual disease.”
Can you share some insights on this diagnosis? Next There is a 4 week radiation therapy planned by our oncologist and then surgery according to original plan.
My father has been responding well to the chemo cycles. However he has lost weight and we are trying to recover it. Followup with oncologist is in 2 weeks. TIA for all tips and advice
