The Conference Championship Games need to be reworked

I made a post earlier about Texas being eliminated from the CFP if they lose to us again and a bunch of yall raked me over the coals (I still stand by my position). So let me rephrase it this way:

UGA has nothing to gain from playing this weekend in the SEC championship game. Compare us to Tennessee:

A) We win, we get a first round bye. Tennessee is getting a bye this weekend already, and their first playoff game will be at home.

B) We lose and we stay 5-8. We get a first round home game, but we’ve also played one extra tough game (SEC championship) compared to Tennessee.

C) We lose and move to 9-12. Now we’ve played an extra tough game and we don’t get a bye or home game in the playoffs.

D) We lose and get eliminated from the playoffs. Really doubt this will happen but the chances aren’t 0

How do you fix it? I don’t know, there’s a ton of ways to try. But it’s definitely broken the way it is.
