Blinds or curtains?

I recently moved into a new space in NYC and I’m working on decorating it.

None of the windows have coverings and need them, especially the ones with bars behind the dining room table. I’m renting, so trying to avoid a major renovation, pretty flexible otherwise.

Recommendations appreciated!
