Council Tax Discount

I relocated to Manchester last month (near Ancoats) and my flat falls under category B band. I've registered with the council and received my bill for the remaining financial year (till 31st March) of somewhere around 630£+. I applied for the 'Single adult' 25% discount via the website but haven't heard back from the council yet, it's been more than 15 working days now....

Is there something I can still do? 1st payment due date is on 7th December.
