Rank decay functionality

Just recently hit eternity and I was wondering how exactly the decaying process works? After hitting eternity I DO NOT want to play rank again and WILL NOT que again probably ever but how far will I go down? Will I derank back down to celestial or will I just stay in eternity but at let’s say 0 points?
