Lincoln Fields Walkability

Genuinely curious… is there anyway to actually walk out of Lincoln Fields these days that is actually accessible for people?

I tried just to walk from Lincoln Fields station just to the metro parking lot, and oh boy… it was miserable.

I crossed at the lights near the north end of the station, then walked up the pathway that was only half plowed then turned completely unplowed and super high snow banks. I had to traverse on top of these multi-foot high snowbanks, then at a certain point I had to give up and walk in the narrow road with the cars because it was so difficult.

Is there a way to even get out properly since they demolished the pedestrian bridge years back? How are people who live by Lincoln Fields accessing the station on foot?? Is there a way I don’t know about? I can’t even imagine for anyone with mobility issues :(

Edit: I put in a service request to have that area plowed by the city. Says they have 5 business days to respond to the request. I don’t know if it will be plowed (maybe it will melt by then 😅), but just thought I’d update.
