Husband making plans for abroad party 6 weeks post due date

My husband is determined to go to a party abroad that is set 6 weeks after due date. He is taking a “you and baby can come with me or not but I’m going”. He said he would get a nanny so we can both enjoy it but question to any second time moms - is that realistic? Would that be enjoyable or will I be sore and exhausted and unable to enjoy myself?
