100k in 3 weeks, feeling unprepared
I’ve been running trails for a handful of years and have been ramping up since January of this year. I did the Grand Canyon rim 2 rim 2 rim in October (47mi, 11k ft climbing) and had a blast. It was tough but I could have gone further.
Fast forward to this year. I’ve been doing about 200 miles a month, mostly trail with 20-30k ft elevation/ month. Handful of 50k and trail marathons over the last two years.
Did 33 miles yesterday with 5k ft of climbing and had a fantastic run but I was doubting myself about being able to go 29 more miles. Finished the week with 65 miles and feel pretty good today, a little sore.
Really doubting myself right now, wondering how I can go 29 more miles after yesterdays long run.
I’ve got another peak week this week with around 60 miles then 2 weeks of taper.
Any advice or words of wisdom?
