Benzoyl peroxide 4% wash with Tret? Night cleanser?

Hello! I got prescribed .025% tret today, and I need help incorporating it into my current regimen. I’ve been using the CeraVe 4% benzoyl peroxide cleanser daily, but I saw that it is best practice to use tret and BP at different times in the day, with most people seemingly using BP in the AM and tret in PM.

However, I’m confused about what people are using to cleanse their face in the PM if they’re reserving their BP wash for the AM? Do you just cleanse with water or? Sorry for my ignorance lol!

Here’s my current regimen for my combo-oily skin (this regimen has been moderately successful in clearing my skin, so I don’t want to stray from it too far):

AM: 1. Wash face with water 2. Moisturize: CeraVe Oil Control Moisturizing Gel-Cream 3. Sunscreen: EltaMD 46SPF UV Clear

PM: 1. Cleanse: CeraVe 4% benzoyl peroxide cleanser 2. Exfoliate (only x2-3 a week): Paula’s Choice 2% BHA 3. Moisturize: CeraVe Oil Control Moisturizing Gel-Cream
