Question about marrying in other parish

Hi!

My fiance and I have been struggling to get ahold of our priest to discuss some urgent matters - wanting to get married soon as we are pregnant (yes; big mistake but we are optimistic about it and see our baby as a blessing).

We were engaged before, broke up to discern, then came back together and boom - became pregnant. So, we had started the marriage prep process for a few months during our previous engagement time.

We want to speed things up and try to get married in a couple months, perhaps on a Friday! We are very certain we want to marry one another.

However… our priest is not responsive to emails, texts, or calls. I’ve been trying to meet with him since my fiance and i’s BREAKUP, back in November… and we have played email tag ever since. Now we are back together and I still can’t nail him down.

We have a big rural parish but to me, it seems he should not be this hard to get ahold of. I’ve even asked the parish office to leave a note in his office but they don’t do that. This is an urgent matter as we want to get something on the calendar and work out how we’d be able to finish the official marriage prep.

We are considering going to a nearby church instead! But would we have to be parishioners there? I am at my wit’s end here. Any help is appreciated
