Is it strange that I love surrealistic themes?

Horror for example, I absolutely love surrealistic horror movies like "I'm thinking of ending things" or "The Lighthouse". Another example is "schizo posting" I enjoy watching those types of videos on TikTok and other platforms. People think I'm strange or creepy for liking these types of things and especially when I say "I love the illogical and incomprehensible aspect of surrealism, especially in horror. Imagine how terrifying it would be if all of a sudden your reality became surrealistic and you experience the impossible." Some people have told me that I need to see a psychiatrist which is funny because I also love psychology and understanding the human mind.
