Moms who got pregnant before marriage: how did it work socially for you when you had baby after marriage and people “did the math”?

I am 7 weeks. Trying to get a wedding on the books for end of May.

Our plan is to announce pregnancy shortly after the wedding so that I don’t have the added stress of people silently judging me (I am in a religious/conservative group of family and friends) if I announce before marriage.

But people will quickly figure out when I say the due date that we got pregnant before marriage. I’m not too worried about being judged bc it’s my life and a baby is a blessing! And I know the people who really love us will not be harsh but will be helpful!! But I’m still a little upset at how people will think of us.

How did you process that? How did it work with your peeps? TIA… sincerely, one mom to an unplanned little peanut. Lol.
